Power Systems Engineering is a network of interconnected components which convert different forms of energy to electrical energy. This program, at the intersection of electric power, generation, transmission and distribution, prepares professionals in power generation, transmission and distribution, and power equipment. The students can also switchover to other specializations like energy conservation, renewable energy engineering, etc. Power System Engineering is the technical discipline applied to design the Electric Power System for high power, electric utility applications as well as industrial and commercial power distribution systems. Power system engineers study how the electric loads flow from the generators to the users over transmission and distribution lines.
