ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of MCA was established in the in the year 2001 with a sanctioned intake of 120 for a 3-year PG programme. A two year Lateral Entry MCA Programme was introduced in the year of 2013. The department is equipped with excellent infrastructure and a team of well-experienced faculty members. The students are programmed to be in sync with the evolving needs of the industry. Many alumni of the department are placed in leading industrial organizations. Four University Ranks were secured by the 2011 batch students, 10 University Ranks were secured by 2012 batch students, 15 University Ranks were secured by 2013 batch students, 17 University Ranks were secured by 2014 batch students, 13 University Ranks were secured by 2015 batch students and 20 University Ranks were secured by 2016 batch students. The Department Library comprises of 13,071 Volume of Books with 4707 Titles, also 36 National and 36 International Journals.

MCA programme has been designed to prepare graduates for attaining the following program outcomes:

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES

a. Design and develop applications to analyze and solve all computer science related problems

b. Analyze and review literatures to invoke the research skills to design, interpret and make inferences from the resulting data

c. Integrate and apply efficiently the contemporary IT tools to all computer applications

d. Function effectively both as a team leader and team member on multi disciplinary projects to demonstrate computing and management skills

e. Communicate effectively and present technical information in oral and written reports

f. Create and design innovative methodologies to solve complex problems for the betterment of the society
